When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. ~Nora Ephron, When Harry Met Sally
This last weekend we were able to go to the Sandestin Gumbo Festival!!! I think the festival came just in time to get us hyped up about Louisiana cuisine! If we're going to Ft Polk, I might as well get excited about something and what better thing to get excited about than FOOD! Saturday was the main event where tons of different people/restaurants entered into the taste test contest. We, of course, had to try every single kind of gumbo to get the full effect and get our moneys worth! Lets just say, that our taste buds were fully satisfied and by the end of the day Forrest looked like he was carrying our 3rd baby, haha!!
We enjoyed the day with our new friends Lauren and Andrew :). There are some people that you meet and instantly know you're going to be great friends, and they are definitely those friends to us! Praise Jesus for networking in the military community and knowing that you could possibly get re-staioned with them somewhere else! You guys know you guys want to come to Ft Polk ;)! Anyways, back to the festival....we had a great time, ate way too much, shivered through the wind and made great memories! Camylle was a little trooper the whole time and went into hyper mode once she was rewarded with a little frozen yogurt! Hope you enjoy all the pics!
First sample of gumbo!
Jamming out with the band.
Fam bam pic :).
Lauren & Andrew!
More gumbo!!
A little blurry but still a good one!
We got the last sample of gumbo from this place and the head chef/owner was VERY talkative! But I'm sure cooking and drinking all day would make anyone this chipper, haha!
I asked Forrest to take a pic...... and he instantly started clicking away.
Haha man oh man, yeah this is what our husbands signed up for! ;)
Finally a normal shot :)!
Crazy little bug-a-boo!
Haha Camylle was being a little kook with Lauren's scarf!
My main squeeze :D!
More scarf adventures!
Love this one :).
This ain't no mumbo gumbo!! Haha this sign was cracking me up!
Both looking a little preggers after all the gumbo!!! ;)
I'm really happy that we decided to go to the festival because we had such a fun time! Now I know a little of what to expect when we head to Louisiana next month! Wowza, I can't believe we move so soon. Thank you Army for keeping us on our toes and keeping our marriage fresh with all these adventures!
Everything else in the Hull house is going really well. Forrest has gotten 100% on his last 6 tests and only has 3 more left! We are hoping to have the movers pack us up on the 18th & 19th of March but we'll know for sure hopefully by next week when we're actually able to schedule it. His graduation is still on March 22nd and he is super excited about it! Camylle is growing and talking A LOT! Her teachers say she is "so sweet" and very social. Baby girl #2 is growing and taking up all the room in my tummy like she owns the place, haha! I feel like I'm running out of room and I still can't believe I'm gonna get bigger! I mean, I can believe it but just don't want to, haha! She'll be here in just a couple short months!! I am doing well and have been working at organizing all the little things before the move. We still don't have a place in LA but I'm sure the perfect place will come up soon :).
Hope you enjoyed our Gumbo festival adventures! XOXO
Happy Late Valentines!! We had a great Valentines week here in the Hull house :)! I hope you all had a fun filled day of love! Our valentines, started off with making cute Valentine cards for family/friends, Camylle's classmates and teachers!
Fish hand prints. These were super easy. Just painted her hand, pressed hand print then added some glitter glue for scales/waves/bubbles, googly eyes and jewel heart nose. I also made some with pink paint.
This was in the inside of the Valentines :). Each one personalized for family and close friends! xoxo
These were her Valentines for school. She painted the heart then I let her color on a piece of paper then cut little hearts to go on top. I folded the tiny heart in half so it was a fun pop up and signed her name.
On the envelope I put little gummy bracelets! What kid doesn't like gummies or bracelets!?! :)
This was Camylle's valentines to her teachers. A little plant was perfect for spring time! I bought a super cheap valentines table cloth and cut it perfect to fit around the plant then added some ribbon. Then made a little sign that said " You're so sweet to help me grow!" And I made sure to add some sweet hearts!
Camylle was so excited about all her crafty valentines and kept saying "Mommy, I made it! Look I made it!!". Adorable :).
I have been going to MOPS, mother of preschoolers, every other week. It's a great place, where moms get together and fellowship, talk, make crafts and get helpful messages on mommyhood. For valentines, they put on a dinner date night. Forrest and I went and had fun night out! And of course they had child care, which was awesome, cause it gave us an opportunity to spend alone time with other mommy and daddies :)! They had a yummy dinner donated from Olive Garden, played some funny games inspired from the show Minute to Win it, had a couple talk about marriage based off of the book Love and Respect and then had soooo many to die for homemade desserts!! We had a fun night!
My love hunk!
6 months pregnant with my Florida sistas!
Valentines Day came and Camylle was so excited to go to school. All morning she kept saying "Happy Valentines Day" :)!
All dressed in purple for Valentines Day at school!
After I picked up Camylle from school, I let her open all her Valentine cards from her friends. She was so excited and being really funny about it! Luckily, I recorded her so you all get to hear how funny she was being. My favorite was when she kept saying "Whaaaaaaat???!!". Silly girl!
(This video is taking forever to load so if it's still not showing up then just come back and check it in another day. I'll try to get it figured out cause it's really cute!)
A Valentine balloon from Mommy :).

Super delish valentine pasta with kale! Yum!
The day after Valentines, Chick-fil-A had a Father & Daughter date night! We live right across the street from Chick-fil-A so they of course had to go! Forrest said they set it up really cute (well he didn't say cute but I'm sure that's what he really wanted to say, haha)! They had red table clothes with a little printed menu, chocolate covered strawberries and flowers for the kids. How adorable is that!?! They had a great night out and ever since that night, every time we drive passed Chick-fil-A, Camylle says "Camylle and Daddy goed Chick-fi-A and Mommy flower"! She came home and gave me the flowers *tear*!! I wish so bad I could have crept around their date night and photographed it, haha! Here's a little picture of them on their date :).
It was also an exciting night because Camylle actually ate a chicken nugget!! This little carbatarian hasn't eaten meat in 2 years!!!!
We love and miss you all so much and send tons of Valentine hugs and kisses your way! XOXO
Hey Everyone! It's been a couple weeks since our last blog. Forrest is still doing good in school, Camylle is her silly little self, I am well and "Baby Sister" is healthy and growing! I had a doctors visit this last week and they went over the ultrasound results. She is very healthy, strong heart beat and everything seems to be going well! They did tell me that she is right on schedule with her due date, May 29th, and that she is in the 25 percentile. This is great news because it means she may be smaller than Camylle at birth, which could lead to an easier delivery :)! I'm holding on to that hope and staying positive!!
We had a fun and eventful weekend with all the Mardi Gras celebrations! Friday night we went to the Destin Commons mall, where they had bands, crafts, food, a night parade and fireworks! We had such a fun time! When we first got there, we saw a group of kids dancing and Camylle jumped right and started breaking it down like she knew what was up! The moves she was busting out were hilarious!
I recorded some of her dance moves on my phone. The pixels are pretty bad, so I hope you are able to see the videos! The first one cracks me up cause mid dance she decides her coat is holding her back so she gives it to some random lady! Haha she's our fearless little dancing queen :)! And in the second one, it kinda looks like she knows the choreography!
Here are some highlight pictures from the weekend! Prepare to be overloaded with pictures ;)!
Making a little shaker for the parade!
She ran straight up to the alligator to give him hugs :D!
Watching the night parade with Ivan.
Enjoying the parade with her friends: Ivan and Addy :).
Saturday, we went to the Destin Harbor Walk and enjoyed all their festivities!
We got there just in time for the parade. Camylle got loaded up with
tons of beads and moon pies :)! After the parade we ate some seafood at
AJ's and then walked around the board walk. Camylle was a little trooper
the whole weekend and we all had a great time as a family! I can't wait
till Baby Sister gets here because I know Camylle would have loved to
hold her hand and show her all the fun stuff going on! I know she's
going to be the best big sister!
Let the parade begin!
It's princess Tiana!
Our little daredevil wanted to get in one sooo bad!!!
Hey Everyone! Wish you were here!!
